About Me: I am a former Binghamton University debater well past his prime (arguable if I even had one) who still keeps tab on the debate community.
Judge Philosophy: As a debater, I was most interested in engaging the arguments of the stylistic choices of the other team. All styles of debate can be done well or done poorly. Any argument can be won as long as it is organized and well warranted, explained clearly, and engages the other teams' arguments, than you've met the necessary criteria to potentially obtain my ballot. If debate has an educational value, it comes from the necessity to defend ones position against a competent adversary on all fronts with a judge who is willing to be objective to the best of their abilities. I strive to be that judge.
