About Me: I am a high school LD and policy coach who spends a good amount of time on the circuit in the Midwest U.S. i work as the principal architect of risk management for a global financial processor, and am working on my PhD in philosophy at the European Graduate School. My theory orientation is predominantly influenced by poststructuralism and postanarchism, as well as process theory; Jacques Ranciere, Ernest Laclau, Peter Sloterdijk and Miichel Serres are primary influences.
Judge Philosophy: I maintain an entry on the judge wiki. I tend to evaluate a high degree of competing interp rounds and am typically preffed high by critical teams. Circuit LD teams that prefer to default to a theory round are probably better served elsewhere as I often find blippy, superficial theory debates to lack compelling offense. Experimental debate, narratives, radical aesthetics and other innovative forms of meaning production are enjoyed. I will typically evaluate both line-by-line analytical and holistic/aesthetic and look to compelling instruction on what I should utilize for ballot determination. .
