|Comments:||I enjoyed your first constructive and rebuttal, but I think your rebuttal failed to capitalize on a crucial claim for your argument (that animal testing regularly fails). You should also impact your statements (why is anthropocentrism bad? why would that outweigh their impacts EVEN IF animal testing has its benefits?). The 1AC also needs to quote and/or cite evidence.||I don't think he was attacking your character at all. I think there were some moments of each speech that were a waste of breath. I would try to develop a better CP (for example, a counterplan that bans all animal testing except for one situation in which it is PROVEN to work and have benefits, instead of making a wide ranged claim about the states regulating medical testing).|
The decision is for the Opposition: Mckensie Stoltzfus
Reason for Decision:
I vote neg because the aff does not have defense on the claim that animal testing solve human lives at the end of the debate. The counterplan has at least some risk of solving the harmful treatment of animals, and only it can save human lives through scientific progress.
