|Use of evidence:||3.7||3.6|
|Coherence of arguments:||3.4||4.5|
|Responsiveness to opponent:||3.2||5|
|Identification of key points:||2.5||5.3|
|Comments:||You spend too much time restating your opponents arguments. Try to do this more quickly to get to your arguments sooner.||You went 30 second over in your last speech and your speaker points reflect this since the arguments you presented within the time limit were enough to win the debate.|
The decision is for the Opposition: Amanda Gonzalez
Reason for Decision:
The opposition does a good job framing this resolution as forcing ALL nations to take on refugees. In order for the proposition to win this debate they have to win an alternate framing of the debate.
The opposition spends a large amount of time outlining which countries should be taking them and other ways that nations like China can help out. This means that the proposition needs to spend more time explaining why the current system doesn't work and a universal obligation would help.
The proposition spends too much time on just the example of TN and the opposition points this out. So it is good for the the US to accept refugees, but I think you need to do more to explain why it would work elsewhere.
