Comments: Luca, I think you made some great points in your first speech, and you used evidence effectively to make your points. However, as the db8 progressed you weren't as responsive as you should be to Sohum's arguments. For example you never respond to Sohum's 10 minute homework plan or to his claims that homework increases academic performance, responsibility, and independence. Also, in your second speech you concede that some homework is a good thing (it's like taking your medicine) and your proposition was to defend that there should be no homework at all.
    Overall a good job.
Great job Sohum. You were very effective in responding to each of your opponent's arguments. One thing to maybe improve on in the future is to tackle your opponents arguments in the same order that your opponent made them so it is a little easier for folks taking notes. You were able to simultaneously rebut your opponents arguments while extend your own. Excellent job.

The decision is for the Opposition: Sohum Shah

    Reason for Decision:

Proposition never rebutted the benefits of homework and conceded that some homework is beneficial. Though the proposition was compelling that too much homework can be bad, but Luca had to defend that there should be no homework at all and was unable to successfully thread that needle. Sohum was able to recognize that key concession and use it to his advantage.
