Comments: Awesome debate! You did a great job identifying the key arguments in the debate, and defending your claims with evidence. You did an amazing job! You very effectively analyzed the wording of the question to make your opposition, instead of simply saying that all sugary drinks are good. Try to find sources to back up your arguments!

The decision is for the Proposition: Julianne Simonson

    Reason for Decision:

This was a very, very close debate. The most fun one I've watched so far in this tournament! The opposition did a great job critiquing a flat-out ban by observing the place of drinks like chocolate milk and orange juice in a school setting. The proposition did a good job countering those arguments by observing the alternatives to juices and the high amount of sugar in chocolate milk. I ended up voting for the proposition on the basis of her argument about the health risks of sugar, which were backed up by evidence and wasn't completely challenged by the opposition. Amazing debate!!!
