    Comments: 1. Compared to explanation to need for protecting extraterrestrial life forms, what kind of international law can be settled and how the international law can actually bring the benefits what you mentioned was relatively unsubstantiated. This burden of proof was definitely required by the resolution. Answering the questions why individual nations and companies have no capacity and interest to protect microbes and ecosystem can make stronger grounds of your cases.

    2. Disease by extraterrestrial microbial lives can be possible. But compared to other cases in your speech, I got impression that the relevance of this case are weaker than others. Explaining why extraterrestrial microbes can be destroyed so easily by using same logic can help your cases to have more relevance.
    1. You could have to explain why human exploration need to have priority than preserving microbes and ecosystems. Your question to uncertainty of existance of extraterrestrial life forms made your stance backward. Just accept the opponent's strongest assumption, and directly meet and breakthrough them.

    2. Example of Mars was not that bad. But if you could have explained why Mars case can be generallized in majority cases in space exploration and why it can actually hinder the human progress to the universe, your case could have been much coherent and substantiated.

    Reason for Decision:

    After mixing the situations based on the cases from the both side, I can assume there are 2 possible scenarios possible.

    Scenario 1 : If the extraterrestrial life forms does not exist,
    Proposition speaker made good pre-emptive definition in his set-up. His main focus in this debate is when there are urgent need to protect extraterrestrial life forms, the international law will be required. In this condition, the counter-example from the opposition speaker 'there is no life form in Mars' and the rebuttal 'we don't know the existence of extraterrestrial life forms' is out of boundary of the context of this debate because in that case, proposition strategically conceded this point by saying that in that case, the law can be abolished so the hinderance to the exploration from opp stands on no ground.

    Scenario 2 : If the extraterrestrial life forms does not exist, proposition side suggested the benefits ; preventing disease, protecting ecosystem, contribution to research in his own constructive cases, while opposition speaker questioned these proposition's cases, but based on the assumption that 'we don't know it', the assumption also weaken's opposition's stance. Because as proposition pointed out, opposition speaker failed to deal with the point 'international law as a tool to deal with unknown stuffs', proposition speaker provided better 'solutions-benefits/harms' than opposition's counterparts.
