    Comments: Both sides did exceptionally well in the debate. The proposition and opposition utilized sound reason and credible evidence to build their claims for and against the resolution. And they did so in a way that was easy to hear and follow, especially for a public audience. Thank you for an excellent debate.

    I vote for the resolution in this debate, supporting the proposition because they win that the U.N. moral duty should be the frame by which to judge this resolution. Further, they win that dolphins experience suffering like humans and should thus be afforded rights by the U.N. Finally, the proposition wins that a ban on dolphin hunting would have minimal impact on the Japanese economy and be worth suspending cultural values to protect a larger right and moral duty.
