Comments: I like your plan-text and your outlining of the framework of ethics. I think your cites could be written in a way that better gets across the quality of your sources. I also think some of your cites could be better as well. The organization of your first speech is great and covers all the main points that I feel should be covered.

Good job flipping the CP human testing for humans causes the same classism she's kritiking you for. Do more referencing the cites you provide within your speech itself.
You do a good job setting up a counter framework. I think you spend too much time at the start by debating out some non-crucial points a nit pick over issues that are not super relevant to the arguments you're making. Your CP and the net-benefits for it are clever. You should also have more sources than you do. And the Ayn Rand Institute is not exactly a great source so when it's 50% of your cites there's an issue. Ie I'd just go to the source that's being quoted in your Epstein evidence versus the Epstein evidence itself.

Good job road mapping. If you're going to go for a procedural you should impact out the competitive equity and education more and go "all in." Absent that it's going to be a hard sell. I like your turning of anthropocentrism.

The decision is for the Proposition: Lindsey Hancock

    Reason for Decision:

I enjoyed the debate over what the "animal" is. At the same time I think that it isn't developed enough for me to do anything with it.

I vote on the turn that the CP is more classist and racist than the plan since it requires the use of testing on humans for medical advances versus the plan that doesn't require testing but merely allows the same level of possibility in the status-quo. The neg needs to impact out the procedural more in order to get my ballot on it, especially when the aff cites seem to concur that the use of animals in testing are required.

Both debaters could do a better job at highlighting *the* most important impact instead of having a bunch that seem to all be equal in merit. When that happens I default for going for the impact that seems turned the most from a policy perspective in relation to the ethic impacts. The discursive entrenchment of anthropocentrism through human ethics is a good argument. If that impact was sequenced better it could see myself voting for the opposition. However, as it is, the CP causes more classism/racism is an argument that isn't answered as well as I think it should be in the last opp speech.

Overall, this was a great debate and one of the better online debates that have taken place throughout this tournament. Good job by both!
